Weber County is filled with many great organizations and people. The mountains and trails are visited daily by locals and those visiting wanting to experience the trails for hiking, running, biking, photography, dog walking etc. Weber Pathways is a great organization that plans trail repair and expansion for Weber County trails. They have many volunteers who help and make it so our community can enjoy all it has to offer.
Trail etiquette is something we all need to observe as humans. The trails are labeled with who is allowed on them and how. There are some restrictions or guidelines that need to followed. You can find great maps on their website. They are very supportive of all that want to visit the trails. They even offer areas where water bowls are available to use. It is also great to remember that you should have a leash and remember to clean up after your dogs. Always remember to leave the area better then you found it.
There is a great free AP that you can download so you have the map on your phone you can then go their webpage and you can link the ap with the Weber Pathways maps.
There are ways your can help. You can volunteer, adapt a trail, Eagle scout projects, community projects, and cash. At this time there is a great fundraising opportunity sponsored by the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley (CFOV). Any contributions designated for Weber Pathways received before September 30 will be distributed to Weber Pathways.
